  • How do I find a product?

    To find a product, you can open the navigation menu located in the top left corner of the page. This will give you access to all the available departments.

    You can also use the search tool located at the top of the page, which will display the available products according to the terms you enter.

    Select one of these and you will access a list of corresponding items from which you can choose a product.

    Once you have found the item you are looking for, click on the product name or its picture to see more information. A product information window will open showing the product details.

  • How does the search tool work?

    The search tool will help you to find a product quickly. Enter the type of product or brand, if you have preferences, and press “enter” or click the “magnifying glass” icon.

    Also, the type of product, brand or related categories will begin appearing automatically directly below the search field. You can even add products to your basket directly from the search tool.

  • I cannot add products to my basket. What should I do?
    If you cannot add products to the basket, try again in a few minutes to an hour. It is likely due to a temporary error in the system. We apologise if this has occurred.

  • Can I purchase products by weight?

    Yes, you can purchase products by weight. A large portion of our fresh products, namely meat, fish, deli meats and fruit and vegetables are sold by weight.

    Depending on the fresh product, it is possible that, in addition to the weight or quantity, you will be asked the type preparation you would like.

    Bear in mind that, upon receiving the order receipt, it is possible that the price of the fresh products varies slightly from what your online shopping basket shows. This is because the products are prepared by our butcher, fishmonger, delicatessen or greengrocer, and it is impossible to match the product’s final weight exactly with the indicated weight.

  • What are Biocidal products?

    Biocidal products are any product that contains synthetic or natural substances designed to kill, counteract, eliminate, impede or control any organism that is harmful to humans. These types of products include bleaches, disinfectants, etc.

    Use them safely and always read the product label before use.

  • Which foods are gluten free or suitable for people with coeliac disease?

    We have a range of gluten-free products that are suitable for people with coeliac disease. You can find them easily by using the Characteristics filter within a list of products. Choose Products for coeliacs and Gluten-free products.

  • How do I use Quick Lists?

    Quick Lists are a fast and convenient way to select products. They are very easy to use. First, click Quick List (you will find it next to the search field).

    When you have opened it, find the What would you like to add to your list? field. Here, you can write all the products you would like to add by product type or brand (for instance, spinach, biscuits, ham, etc.). Remember to add them one by one and click “Begin” when you have finished composing your list.

    The next step will display all the items from our catalogue that correspond to the products on your list. This way, you can easily select the products you want to add to your basket. If you inadvertently left an item off your quick list during the previous step, you can easily add it now from here.

    When you have finished adding all the products to your basket, proceed to the Checkout as normal.

  • How do I use My Lists?

    This tool allows you to store frequently-purchased products on personal lists that you can use for future purchases. This way, you don’t have to search for these products again. My Lists is found in the drop-down menu in My account.

    Next, give your list a name (for example, “My monthly shopping”). Write this in the Create List field.

    Now, search for the products that you want to add to your new list. Browse the website looking for the products that interest you. When you find a product, click the icon Add to my list.

    All the lists you have created will appear. Add the product to the list of your choice and it will be stored there. It’s that simple! You can add the product to several lists or even create a new list here.

    When you have finished, open the list and add the any products from it to your basket (all products are selected by default). Remember that you can also delete the list, change its name and modify the products contained within.

    When you have finished, proceed to the Checkout as normal or continue shopping.

  • What happens if a product on one of my lists is out of stock when placing an order?

    It is possible that a product on one of your lists or a product from a previous order that you would like to purchase is out of stock at the Checkout stage. It is even possible that, when we go to prepare your order, a product you have ordered is out of stock. In these cases we apply the substitution criteria that you have designated.

    There are four substitution criteria: substitute for another brand, substitute for another size, call me for consultation or do not substitute.

  • How do you use the Frequent Products feature?

    The Frequent Products feature groups the products that you purchase online most often. If you want the products that you frequently purchase in our centres to appear, you can do so by entering your El Corte Inglés Card number. However, keep in mind that you’ will only see the products you buy from centres that are also available online.

  • Why doesn’t one of the products I purchase most often appear in Frequent Products?

    This can occur if you have changed collection centre or if your order is being shipped from a centre other than your usual one. The latter can occur if you have changed address or if you have selected a different delivery address. Keep in mind that the order is prepared at the Centre closest to the indicated address.

    It could also be that, upon entering the El Corte Inglés Card number, you are lacking a certain product you frequently purchase at our Centres. This is most likely due to the product not being available on the website.

  • Can I place the same order again?

    You can place the same order again if you access My Orders (found in the drop-down menu under My account) and you click the Repeat order icon located to the side of the order you wish to repeat.

    If you return to the website and your session is still active, your shopping basket will be exactly as you left it. However, it is possible that, when you proceed to the checkout, one or more products are out of stock.

  • How can I see if there are any special offers?

    To see what products have special offers, we have created a space called Today’s Special Offersunder the menu at the top of the page. Here, you can see the products that have discounts or promotions, ordered by product family. You can also tell which products are on special offer by the “%” icon indicated in the product’s information window.

    You can change the quantity of a product at any time, as long as you have not begun the Checkout. You can do it from your basket summary, your lists and even when you want to repeat an order.

  • How can I check if I delivery is available to my home?

    You can check if delivery is available to your home before registering or making a purchase. Simply click on Delivery times at the top of the page and enter your postcode. Now, you can consult the available delivery times:

    • For home delivery, if this is available in your area.
    • For collection at your nearest centre with our Click&Car service.

    Another way to determine if delivery is available in your area is to enter your postcode when beginning the order. If there is no delivery available in your area, a small notification will appear.

  • How do I browse the website?

    You can browse our website comfortably with any computer, tablet or smartphone, as it adapts seamlessly to the features of each device.

    On computers and some tablets, the main menu will appear at the top of the page. From here, you can access your account, choose the language, use the search tool, enter the different stores/sections (Today’s Special Offers, Supermarket, APTC) and, just below, pick from the different product families that make up each store/section.

    On smartphones and some tablets, the menu appears grouped in the top left corner of the screen and the account access and/or options appear in the top right corner. In the centre you will find access to the search tool, the search filters and the sorting criteria.

  • Can I purchase veterinary products?

    Only medicines not subject to veterinary prescription are sold.

    The online sale to the public of non-prescription veterinary medicines authorised in Spain is carried out from the Retail Establishment located in the El Corte Inglés Shopping Centre at C/ Goya 76. 28009 – Madrid, registered in Section One of the Register of Veterinary Medication Establishments under number M.V./I – 063/M. Recipients must be within the European Union customs territory.

    The owner of the Establishment is Mariana Romero García, with Licence no. 14675.

    Information regarding returns: veterinary medicines may not be returned once dispensed and delivered to the purchaser, except for items that are supplied by mistake, do not match the order, are damaged during transport, carry an alert regarding a defect in their quality or for veterinary pharmacovigilance reasons, or must be withdrawn in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1246/2008, of 18 July.
